Right on Time runs locally on your device. Scores, timing statistics, streaks and settings are stored on the device only. We operate no server, we use no accounts, and we run no analytics or tracking of our own. We never receive your gameplay data.
The only data that leaves your device is caused by two third-party services: Google AdMob, which delivers the ads shown in the free version, and the app store billing system (Apple or Google) used for the one-time Right on Time Pro purchase.
You can change your advertising choice at any time in the app under Settings → PRIVACY OPTIONS.
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR is:
Alexander Linack

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer.
The app writes the following to its private app storage (Android: SharedPreferences; iOS: NSUserDefaults). This data is not transmitted to us and is not readable by us:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Best results per game mode | High score display |
| Timing statistics — per-round deviation in milliseconds, up to the 120 most recent sessions | The in-app precision statistics screen |
| Journey progress and recent performance metrics | Progression through the Journey mode |
| Daily Run best result per day, current and best streak, last completed day | Daily Precision Run and streak tracking |
| Custom Challenge profile — a name you type yourself and the round configuration | Saving your own challenge. The name is free text; please do not enter personal data there. |
| Settings: appearance mode, reduced motion, haptics, chaos level, distraction sounds, tutorial completed | Restoring your preferences |
| Right on Time Pro entitlement flag | Unlocking purchased content and removing ads |
| Ad pacing counters and the local calendar day of the last ad | Limiting how often an ad is shown |
| Consent status of the Google consent dialog | Storing your advertising choice |
The app uses your device clock and time zone to determine the local calendar day for Daily Runs and ad pacing. No location data is used or requested.
Deleting the app deletes this data. On Android you can also clear it via System settings → Apps → Right on Time → Storage → Clear data.
Device backups: if you have Android Auto Backup or an iPhone iCloud/iTunes backup enabled, your operating system may include this app data in your personal backup. That backup belongs to your Google or Apple account and is not accessible to us.
The free version shows full-screen interstitial ads between sessions, limited by an on-device pacing rule. There are no banner ads and no rewarded ads. Right on Time Pro removes advertising completely.
Ads are delivered by Google AdMob, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). For ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement, Google processes in particular: IP address, an approximate region derived from it, device model and operating system version, app version, language, and interactions with the ad (impression, click).
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID). Where you have given consent, this identifier may be used for personalised advertising. Without consent, ads are non-personalised.Non-personalised ads still involve limited processing for frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting.
Where consent is required — in particular in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — it is obtained before ads are requested via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP), an IAB TCF-compatible consent management platform. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and § 25(1) TDDDG for storing and accessing information on your device.
You can review, change or withdraw your consent at any time under Settings → PRIVACY OPTIONS in the app. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. On Android you can additionally reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings → Google → Ads; on iOS, tracking is off unless you enable it under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, which this app does not request.
Right on Time Pro (product ID com.rightontime.app.pro) is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is processed exclusively by the platform operator — Apple (StoreKit) or Google (Google Play Billing). Payment details are entered in the platform's own interface and are never transmitted to us. We receive no name, address or payment data.
The app receives only the information whether a valid purchase exists and stores that flag locally. When you tap "Restore purchases", the app asks Apple or Google whether your account holds the entitlement. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
The platform operators act as independent controllers for the payment process: Apple Privacy Policy · Google Privacy Policy.
After a Daily Run you can tap "Share". The app then hands a short text — your total deviation in milliseconds and your streak length — to your operating system's share sheet. Nothing is sent anywhere until you pick a recipient app yourself, and the receiving app's own privacy policy applies from that point on. The share function is entirely optional.
When you download, install or update the app, Apple or Google process data such as your account identifier, download history, device type and — where you enable it — crash and performance diagnostics. This happens under the responsibility of the platform operator. We receive no individual-level data; App Store Connect and the Google Play Console show us only aggregated, anonymous statistics.
Android: VIBRATE for haptic feedback, plus INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and the advertising-ID permissions required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. iOS: haptics via the system Taptic engine, no permission prompt required.
The app does not access contacts, photos, microphone, camera, location, health data, calendar or files, and it does not request any tracking permission.
Right on Time is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Where a user is below the applicable age of digital consent (Art. 8 GDPR — 16 in Germany unless national law provides otherwise), no consent to personalised advertising can validly be given; in that case only non-personalised ads are permissible and no advertising identifier is used for personalisation. In-app purchases remain subject to your device's parental controls (Apple: Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions; Google: Play Store → Settings → Family), which we recommend parents enable.
If you believe a child has provided personal data through a service used by this app, contact [email protected] and we will help you address it with the relevant provider.
This section applies if you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah or another US state with comparable privacy legislation.
We do not collect, sell or share personal information ourselves. In the free version, our advertising partner Google may use identifiers, device information and ad interaction data for advertising purposes. Under the CPRA this may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising.
To opt out, open Settings → PRIVACY OPTIONS in the app, where the applicable Google privacy message is shown, and/or reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. On iOS no cross-app advertising identifier is used at all, since the app does not request tracking permission.
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale/sharing of personal information, and to appeal a refused request. Since we hold no personal information about you and cannot identify you, please direct such requests to Google, or contact us at [email protected] and we will point you to the right place. We do not discriminate against users who exercise these rights.
Google and Apple may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or on standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR concluded by the respective provider.
Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. Timing statistics are capped at the 120 most recent sessions; older sessions are overwritten automatically. Data processed by Google is retained under Google's own retention periods.
You have the rights of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
Because we store no personal data ourselves and cannot identify you, we may be unable to act on a request under Art. 11(2) GDPR. In that case please address it directly to Google or Apple; we will gladly point you to the correct contact.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).
We update this policy when the app or the legal situation changes. The current version is always at right-on-time.app/privacy.html; the date at the top shows the version in force.
